HVAC design for the renovations included steam to hot water conversion including boilers, insulated piping systems, heating coils in existing air handling units and controls, demolition and replacement of existing outdoor air ductwork and controls properly sized for economizer operation of the air handling units, and removal and replacement of DX cooling systems including outdoor air cooled condensing units, insulated refrigerant piping systems, DX cooling coils in existing air handling units and controls. Plumbing design consisted of demolition and replacement of existing domestic hot water heater and non-potable water and gas piping systems to new mechanical equipment. Electrical design included power to support the new mechanical equipment.
